The Cat Empire è un gruppo musicale australiano di Melbourne, noto per il suo stile eclettico che fonde elementi di jazz, ska, funk e world music. Fondato nel 1999, il gruppo è composto da Felix Riebl (percussioni e voce), Harry James Angus (tromba e voce), Ollie McGill (tastiere e cori), Ryan Monro (basso e cori), Will Hull-Brown (batteria) e Jamshid "Jumps" Khadiwhala (turntables, percussioni). Spesso collaborano con l'Empire Horns, un duo di trombe, e ospitano musicisti ospiti ricorrenti. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
