Athlete è una band indie rock inglese vincitrice di un Ivor Novello Award, formatasi a Deptford, Londra. Il gruppo è composto da Joel Pott (voce e chitarra), Carey Willetts (basso e cori), Stephen Roberts (batteria e cori) e Tim Wanstall (tastiere e cori). Recentemente, il quartetto ha ingaggiato Jonny Pilcher di Weevil come chitarrista per le esibizioni dal vivo. L'album di debutto omonimo del 2003 ha raggiunto la posizione numero 16 nella classifica britannica degli album. Il loro sound è caratterizzato da melodie orecchiabili, riff di chitarra incisivi e testi introspettivi che esplorano temi come l'amore, la perdita e la ricerca di identità. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
