Illnath è una band danese di black metal melodico formatasi nel 1997 da Peter Falk e Jokum Thor Larsen. La band era originariamente chiamata Flagellation e il loro primo demo, *Behind the Veil*, fu pubblicato sotto questo nome. Successivamente hanno cambiato nome in Illnath e hanno continuato a pubblicare musica fino al 2008. Il loro stile musicale è caratterizzato da atmosfere cupe e malinconiche, con influenze progressive e un uso prominente di melodie sinfoniche. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano *The Serpent's Embrace*, *A Shadow in the Light* e *Through the Veil of Sorrow*.
