Pestilence è una band olandese di death metal formatasi a Haarlem nel 1986. Considerati pionieri del technical death metal e del progressive death metal, hanno influenzato profondamente l'evoluzione del genere. La formazione originale comprendeva Patrick Mameli (chitarra, voce), Martin van Drunen (voce), Randy Meinhard (basso) e John Boelen (batteria). Dopo aver iniziato con sonorità tradizionali di death metal, Pestilence si è evoluta verso un sound più tecnico e progressivo, incorporando elementi jazz, fusion e musica classica. Il loro album del 1989 *Mind Reflections* è considerato un classico del genere, mentre *Consuming Impulse* (1991) ha ulteriormente consolidato la loro reputazione come innovatori. Dopo quattro album, la band si sciolse nel 1994. Nel 2008, Pestilence si riunì con una nuova formazione guidata da Mameli e pubblicò due nuovi album: *Resurrection* (2009) e *Doctrine* (2011). Dopo un'altra pausa, la band si è riunita nel 2016 per registrare un nuovo disco con un nuovo gruppo di musicisti. Tra i brani più rappresentativi di Pestilence figurano: *Out of the Mind*, *Spheres*, *The Last Embrace* e *Twisted Existence*.

C'était le 5 avril 1980 quand un groupe inconnu et sans nom a joué dans une église désacralisée de la ville universitaire d'Athens en Géorgie. À peine deux semaines plus tard, ils ont choisi un nom R.E.M. , et ilt ont sortiun single et en 1983 un album "Murmur".
Avec 7 albums à leur actif, le groupe est une source d'inspiration et de créativité au niveau mondial, au cours de ces 20 années il n'a cessé d'influencer le paysage musical et de créer des tendances.

Il sont 7, ils ont presque tous la vingtaine, ils aiment le post-rock et aussi expérimenter différents sons. Plus qu'un groupe, Black Country est une communauté.
J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
