Rick Springfield, pseudonimo di Richard Lewis Springthorpe, è un cantautore, musicista e attore australiano nato a Sydney nel 1949. Iniziò la sua carriera musicale negli anni '70 con il gruppo Zoot, raggiungendo il successo internazionale come solista negli anni '80 con brani come "Jessie's Girl". La sua musica è caratterizzata da un mix di rock, pop e synth-pop, influenzato dal glam rock degli anni '70. Oltre alla musica, Springfield ha recitato in film e serie TV, tra cui la popolare serie "Californication".
