Gli Stray Cats sono un gruppo musicale rockabilly statunitense formatosi a Long Island nel 1979. Il nucleo fondante è costituito da Brian Setzer (voce, chitarra), Slim Jim Phantom (batteria) e Lee Rocker (contrabbasso). Il loro sound, caratterizzato da riff di chitarra energici, ritmi incalzanti e melodie orecchiabili, ha riscosso un enorme successo negli anni '80, rilanciando l'interesse per il rockabilly. Tra i brani più famosi ci sono "Rock This Town", "Stray Cat Strut" e "(She's) Sexy + 17". Gli Stray Cats hanno pubblicato diversi album di successo, tra cui "Gonna Ball" (1981), "Let's Have a Party" (1982) e "Rant 'n' Rave with the Stray Cats" (1983). J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
