Lady A (anciennement connus sous le nom de Lady Antebellum) est un groupe de musique country américain formé à Nashville, Tennessee, en 2006. Le trio est composé de Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood et Hillary Scott. Après avoir signé avec Capitol Records Nashville, ils ont fait leurs débuts en 2007 comme invités sur le single "Never Alone" de Jim Brickman. Leur premier album éponyme est sorti en 2008 avec le succès du single "Love Don't Live Here", qui a atteint la troisième place du classement Hot Country Songs. En 2009, ils ont sorti leur deuxième album, "Need You Now", qui a marqué un tournant dans leur carrière. La chanson-titre a dominé les classements, remportant quatre Grammy Awards : Meilleure chanson country, Chanson de l'année, Meilleure performance country et Enregistrement de l'année. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
