Dying Fetus è una band di death metal americana, nota per le sue esplicite posizioni politiche e per essere uno dei pochi gruppi del genere ad abbracciare un'ideologia politica nelle loro canzoni. Le prime liriche presentavano temi graficamente violenti e splatter. Fondata nel 1990 in Maryland, la band ha pubblicato dieci album in studio, consolidando il suo posto tra i pilastri del death metal moderno. Il sound di Dying Fetus è caratterizzato da riff veloci e aggressivi, blast beat incessanti e growl gutturali. Tra le canzoni più rappresentative si annoverano "Kill the Dissent", "Homicidal". Il gruppo ha collaborato con artisti come Cannibal Corpse e Suffocation.
