Pop Smoke, de son vrai nom Bashar Barakah Jackson (1993-2020), était un rappeur américain considéré comme l'un des pionniers du drill américain. Né et élevé à Brooklyn, New York, Pop Smoke a commencé sa carrière musicale en 2018 en publiant des mixtapes comme "Meet the Woo" et "Meet the Woo 2". Son style de rap caractérisé par un flow agressif, des paroles tissées avec un réalisme urbain et des sonorités sombres l'a rapidement rendu populaire. Le succès est arrivé en 2019 avec le single "Welcome to the Party", qui a atteint les classements internationaux et a attiré l'attention d'artistes comme Nicki Minaj et Skepta. Pop Smoke a collaboré avec plusieurs rappeurs, dont Travis Scott et Quavo. Sa musique a contribué à diffuser la culture drill aux États-Unis et dans le monde entier.
