Jedi Mind Tricks est un duo de hip-hop underground originaire de Philadelphie, composé du rappeur Vinnie Paz (Vincenzo Luvineri) et du DJ et producteur Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind (Kevin Baldwin). Jus Allah (James Bostick) complète parfois la formation. Le groupe a sorti cinq albums, dont les plus connus sont *Servants in Heaven, Kings in Hell* et *Legacy of Blood*, tous deux salués par la critique et le public. En septembre 2007, ils ont sorti *Ritual of Battle*, qui comprend des collaborations avec des artistes comme Outerspace, Chief Kamachi, Esoteric, Demoz et King Magnetic. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
