Powerwolf est un groupe allemand de power metal formé à Saarbrücken en 2003. Connus pour leur style théâtral et leurs thèmes religieux souvent traités avec ironie et sarcasme, Powerwolf a acquis une large base de fans internationale. Leurs chansons se caractérisent par des riffs lourds, des mélodies accrocheuses et une atmosphère sombre et gothique. Parmi les morceaux les plus représentatifs figurent "We Drink Your Blood", "Amen and Attack" et "Demons Are a Girl's Best Friend". L'album de début, "Return in Bloodred", date de 2005, suivi d'une série de succès tels que "Lupus Dei" (2007) et "Blood of the Saints" (2011).
