Anchor and Braille est le projet acoustique du chanteur principal d'Anberlin, Stephen Christian, avec la collaboration d'Aaron Marsh de Copeland. Bien que ce soit à l'origine une entreprise commune entre Christian et Marsh, ce dernier a depuis retiré son nom du projet pour se concentrer sur Copeland. Christian continue à mener Anchor and Braille, en publiant des albums et des singles qui explorent des thèmes introspectifs et mélodiques avec des influences folk et indie rock. Parmi les morceaux les plus notables d'Anchor and Braille figurent "The Weight of the World", "A Thousand Years" et "Carry On".
