G-Unit est un groupe de hip-hop américain formé à New York en 2003. Le groupe est principalement associé au rappeur 50 Cent, qui a fondé son label discographique et sa ligne de vêtements du même nom. Outre 50 Cent, les membres originaux comprenaient Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo et Young Buck. G-Unit est connu pour son style dur et ses rimes agressives, influencées par le gangsta rap classique. Le groupe a sorti plusieurs albums à succès, notamment "Beg for Mercy" (2003), "Teflon Don" (2008) et "The Beauty of Gangsta Rap" (2015). J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
