Simple Minds est un groupe de rock britannique formé à Glasgow en 1977. Considéré comme l'un des groupes les plus représentatifs et influents des années 1980 et 1990, il a vendu environ 60 millions d'albums dans le monde entier. Leur son évolue du post-punk initial vers des sonorités plus synthétiques et mélodramatisches, avec un accent mis sur la voix puissante de Jim Kerr. Parmi leurs morceaux les plus célèbres figurent "Don't You (Forget About Me)", bande originale du film "The Breakfast Club", "Alive and Kicking" et "Belfast Child".
