Les Black Eyed Peas (BEP) sont un groupe de hip-hop américain formé en 1995 à Los Angeles, Californie. La formation originale comprenait apl.de.ap, will.i.am et taboo, ainsi que la chanteuse Kim Hill. Leur premier album, *Behind the Front* (1998), a reçu des critiques positives mais n'a pas connu un grand succès commercial. En 2000, leur deuxième album, *Bridging The Gap*, est sorti, avec des collaborations d'artistes tels que Chali 2na de Jurassic 5, De La Soul et Macy Gray. En 2003, Kim Hill a été remplacée par Fergie et l'album *Elephunk* a marqué un tournant pour le groupe. Des singles comme *Where Is the Love?*, *Shut Up*, *Hey Mama* et *Let's Get It Started* sont devenus des succès internationaux, faisant de Black Eyed Peas l'un des groupes musicaux les plus populaires au monde. Il sont 7, ils ont presque tous la vingtaine, ils aiment le post-rock et aussi expérimenter différents sons. Plus qu'un groupe, Black Country est une communauté.
J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
Le film très critiqué «Musique» de Sia qui voit son début en tant que réalisatrice vient d'être nominé comme meilleur film au Golden Globe 2021. L'actrice principale Kate Hudson a été nominée dans la catégorie Meilleure actrice.
