George Virden Watsky, connu professionnellement sous le nom de Watsky, est un rappeur, poète et écrivain américain né en 1986. Il a commencé sa carrière musicale en publiant des mixtapes indépendantes et en participant à des compétitions de rap freestyle. En 2011, il a acquis une plus grande notoriété avec l'album "Watsky", suivi par "Cardboard Castles" (2013) et "All That I Ever Wanted" (2016). Sa musique se caractérise par un rythme rapide, des paroles poétiques souvent introspectives qui explorent des thèmes tels que la croissance personnelle, l'aliénation et la société moderne. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
