Abyssos est un groupe de death metal allemand formé dans les années 1990. Le groupe se distingue par son atmosphère sombre et mystique, influencée par le black metal et la musique classique. Chris Rehn est l'un des membres les plus connus, qui a également collaboré avec d'autres groupes du genre comme Dark Funeral. Leur album de début "Fhinsthanian Nightbreed" (1996) est considéré comme un classique du death metal underground. D'autres albums importants incluent "Together We Summon the Dark" (2000) et "Wherever the Witches Might Fly" (2003). Abyssos continue d'être actif, en publiant de nouveaux albums et en participant à des festivals de musique heavy metal dans le monde entier.
