Shihad est un groupe de rock néo-zélandais formé à Melbourne, en Australie, en 1988. Le groupe, composé de Jon Toogood (chant), Phil Knight (guitare), Karl Kippenberger (basse) et Tom Larkin (batterie), a atteint une grande popularité en Nouvelle-Zélande avec un son caractérisé par des influences grunge et rock alternatif. Parmi leurs albums les plus importants figurent "The General Electric" (1992), "Churning the Sea" (1995) et "Killjoy" (1998). Après les attentats du 11 septembre 2001, le groupe a changé de nom pour Pacifier pendant trois ans. En 2005, ils sont revenus au nom Shihad et ont continué à sortir de la musique jusqu'à aujourd'hui. Parmi leurs chansons les plus représentatives, on peut citer "Home Again", "Sweet Relief" et "The General Electric".
