Hot Chip è un gruppo musicale britannico formatosi a Londra nel 2001. Composto da Alexis Taylor (voce), Joe Goddard (tastiere, sintetizzatori), Al Doyle (chitarra, tastiere), e Tom Hughes (batteria), il gruppo si distingue per la sua musica elettronica caratterizzata da ritmi dance-pop energici, melodie orecchiabili e testi introspettivi. Dopo aver autoprodotto diversi album, Hot Chip ha ottenuto il successo mainstream nel 2006 con il singolo "Over and Over", che è stato nominato singolo dell'anno dall'NME. L'album di debutto ufficiale del gruppo, "Coming on Strong", è uscito nello stesso anno e ha consolidato la loro posizione nell'elettronica britannica. Tra i brani più rappresentativi ci sono anche "Ready for the Floor", "Boy from School" e "The Warning". Hot Chip continua a pubblicare album di successo, collaborando con artisti come LCD Soundsystem e The Chemical Brothers.
