Kate Anna Rusby (nata il 4 dicembre 1973 a Sheffield, Inghilterra) è una cantautrice e musicista folk inglese originaria di Penistone, South Yorkshire. Spesso soprannominata "The Barnsley Nightingale", ha intrapreso tour in tutta l'Inghilterra e si è esibita in numerosi festival folk nazionali britannici. Considerata una delle più famose cantanti folk inglesi contemporanee, nel 2001 The Guardian l'ha definita "una superstar della scena acustica britannica". Nel 2007 il sito web della BBC l'ha descritta come "la prima dama dei giovani folkies". Rusby è una delle poche cantanti folk nominate per il Mercury Prize.
