Casting Crowns est un groupe de soft rock chrétien originaire de Géorgie, aux États-Unis. Fondé par le pasteur Mark Hall en 1999, le groupe vise à diffuser le message chrétien à travers ses chansons. Tous les membres sont actuellement des ministres de l'église baptiste Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church. Le son de Casting Crowns se caractérise par des ballades émouvantes et des paroles profondément spirituelles. Parmi leurs chansons les plus célèbres, on peut citer "Praise You In This Storm", "Who Am I", "East To West" et "Only Jesus". Leur album d' estreia auto-intitulé, sorti en 2003, a été un succès immédiat, consacrant le groupe comme l'une des voix les plus importantes de la musique chrétienne contemporaine.
La chanteuse de renom Rihanna et le rappeur A$AP Rocky ont récemment fait la une des journaux du monde entier en dévoilant le nom de leur deuxième enfant.

C'était le 5 avril 1980 quand un groupe inconnu et sans nom a joué dans une église désacralisée de la ville universitaire d'Athens en Géorgie. À peine deux semaines plus tard, ils ont choisi un nom R.E.M. , et ilt ont sortiun single et en 1983 un album "Murmur".
