The Birthday Massacre è un gruppo musicale canadese di genere synth rock originario di Toronto. Fondato nel 1999 sotto il nome di Imagica, ha cambiato nome nel 2000 per quello attuale. La band è composta da Chibi (voce), Owen (chitarra, tastiere), Rainbow (tastiere, cori) e Mike (batteria). Il loro sound si caratterizza per un mix di synthwave, gothic rock e darkwave, con influenze elettroniche e melodie orecchiabili. Tra i brani più noti figurano "Violet", "Red Stars" e "In The Dark". The Birthday Massacre ha pubblicato numerosi album, tra cui "Walking With Strangers" (2004), "A Crimson Ghost" (2007) e "Pins and Needles" (2016). La band è apprezzata per le performance dal vivo energiche e l'atmosfera gotica che crea durante i concerti.
