Status Quo est un groupe de rock anglais formé en 1962. Connu pour son son simple mais efficace, basé sur des riffs de guitare puissants et un rythme boogie contagieux, Status Quo a vendu plus de 100 millions d'albums dans le monde entier. Le groupe est composé de Francis Rossi (chant, guitare), Rick Parfitt (guitare, chant) et d'autres musiciens qui ont fait partie du groupe au fil des ans. Leurs chansons les plus célèbres incluent "Down Down", "Rockin' All Over the World" et "Whatever You Want". Status Quo a été un groupe à succès pendant des décennies, avec une base de fans dévouée dans le monde entier. C'était le 5 avril 1980 quand un groupe inconnu et sans nom a joué dans une église désacralisée de la ville universitaire d'Athens en Géorgie. À peine deux semaines plus tard, ils ont choisi un nom R.E.M. , et ilt ont sortiun single et en 1983 un album "Murmur".

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
