Legion of the Damned est un groupe néerlandais de thrash/death metal formé en 2004 à partir des cendres du groupe Occult, suite au départ du chanteur Rachel Heyzer. Leurs chansons explorent des thèmes d'horreur, d'occulte, de religion et d'apocalypse. Ils ont enregistré les albums *Malevolent Rapture* et *Sons of the Jackal* au Stage One Studio avec le producteur Andy Classen. Un hommage particulier à leurs origines néerlandaises est présent dans l'édition spéciale de l'album *Cult of the Dead*, qui comprend un bloc de fromage gravé avec le logo du groupe, un élément unique dans le merchandising metal (et peut-être dans tous les genres musicaux). Parmi leurs chansons les plus représentatives : *The Hallowed Crown*, *Blood and Fire*, *Death is My Master*.
