Barbara Ruth Dickson è una cantante e attrice scozzese, nata a Glasgow nel 1947. Conosciuta per la sua potente voce e la sua interpretazione teatrale, ha ottenuto un grande successo sia come cantante di musical che come artista solista. Tra i suoi ruoli più noti figurano quelli in Chess, Blood Brothers, John, Paul, George, Ringo ... and Bert e Spend, Spend, Spend. Ha vinto due Laurence Olivier Award alla migliore attrice in un musical nel 1983 e nel 2000. La sua collaborazione con Elaine Paige per il duetto "I Know Him So Well" ha raggiunto una popolarità internazionale. Dickson è nota anche per le sue interpretazioni di canzoni tradizionali scozzesi e folk, oltre a brani originali che spaziano dal rock al jazz. Tra i suoi album più importanti ricordiamo "Barbara Dickson", "The Best of Barbara Dickson" e "Songs from the Stage". C'était le 5 avril 1980 quand un groupe inconnu et sans nom a joué dans une église désacralisée de la ville universitaire d'Athens en Géorgie. À peine deux semaines plus tard, ils ont choisi un nom R.E.M. , et ilt ont sortiun single et en 1983 un album "Murmur".
Avec 7 albums à leur actif, le groupe est une source d'inspiration et de créativité au niveau mondial, au cours de ces 20 années il n'a cessé d'influencer le paysage musical et de créer des tendances.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
