Slayer è una leggendaria band di thrash metal americana, formatasi a Los Angeles nel 1981. Considerati uno dei pilastri del genere, Slayer ha influenzato innumerevoli gruppi e continua ad essere un punto di riferimento per i fan del heavy metal in tutto il mondo. Il loro sound è caratterizzato da velocità estrema, riff aggressivi e testi spesso dark e violenti. Tra le canzoni più iconiche si ricordano "Raining Blood", "Angel of Death" e "South of Heaven".
