Cat Power, pseudonimo di Chan Marshall, è una cantautrice statunitense nata nel 1972. La sua musica, caratterizzata da un sound indie folk e blues, ha conquistato critica e pubblico grazie alla voce potente e emotiva di Marshall. Iniziò la sua carriera negli anni '90 con l'album "The Covers Record", un disco di reinterpretations che le valse immediate attenzioni.
