Car Seat Headrest est un groupe américain de rock indépendant formé en 2010. Le projet musical a été lancé par Will Toledo, qui a commencé à publier de la musique en ligne sous le nom de Car Seat Headrest. Au fil des ans, la formation s'est développée pour devenir un groupe complet avec d'autres musiciens. Le groupe vient de Virginie mais a ensuite déménagé à Seattle (Washington). Leur son est caractérisé par des mélodies introspectives de rock indépendant et des paroles souvent tirées d'expériences personnelles, explorant des thèmes comme l'adolescence, la solitude et la recherche d'identité. Parmi leurs morceaux les plus représentatifs figurent "Nervous Young Inhumans", "Fill in the Blank" et "Beach Life-In Death". Car Seat Headrest a sorti plusieurs albums, dont le très acclamé "Twin Fantasy" (2018), considéré comme un tournant dans leur carrière.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
