I Clancy Brothers sono un gruppo folk irlandese formatosi nel 1961 e attivo fino al 1975, pur continuando in formazioni diverse. Composto da tre fratelli: Liam, Tom e Paddy Clancy, il gruppo ha raggiunto grande popolarità negli Stati Uniti durante gli anni '60. Il loro debutto è avvenuto al Newport Folk Festival nel 1961, condividendo lo stage con Joan Baez. I Clancy Brothers sono noti per le loro performance energiche e la voce armoniosa, caratterizzata da un forte accento irlandese. Il loro repertorio include tradizionali canzoni folk irlandesi, spesso reinterpretate in chiave moderna. Tra i brani più famosi si ricordano "The Wild Rover", "Seven Drunken Nights" e "Red Is the Rose". L'album "The Clancy Brothers Sing Irish Ballads" (1963) è considerato un classico del genere folk irlandese.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
