Silverstein est un groupe canadien de post-hardcore originaire de Burlington, en Ontario, formé en 2000. Le nom du groupe fait référence à l'auteur pour enfants célèbre Shel Silverstein. Le groupe a gagné en popularité dans les années 2000 avec des albums comme "When Broken Is Easily Fixed" (2003) et "Discovering the Waterfront" (2005), caractérisés par des sonorités agressives et des mélodies accrocheuses. Parmi les chansons les plus connues de Silverstein, on trouve "Smile in Your Sleep", "The Door" et "It's Over". Le groupe a traversé plusieurs phases stylistiques, explorant des éléments d'emo, de pop punk et de rock alternatif.
