Lynyrd Skynyrd est un groupe américain légendaire de Southern rock formé à Jacksonville, en Floride, en 1964. Le groupe a connu un succès international dans les années 1970 avec un son caractérisé par des riffs bluesy, des paroles évoquant le Sud des États-Unis et des virtuoses de la guitare. Lynyrd Skynyrd est connu pour des chansons emblématiques comme "Sweet Home Alabama", "Free Bird" et "Simple Man". Le groupe a subi une tragédie en 1977 lorsqu'un accident d'avion a coûté la vie à trois membres fondateurs, dont le guitariste Allen Collins. Malgré ce coup dur, Lynyrd Skynyrd est revenu sur scène dans les années 1980 et continue d'être une référence du Southern rock, influençant des générations de musiciens.
