Cage the Elephant è un gruppo rock americano proveniente da Bowling Green, Kentucky. Originariamente conosciuti come "Perfect Confusion", il loro successo è arrivato con il singolo "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked", che ha raggiunto la posizione numero 32 nella classifica britannica e figurava nel videogioco Borderlands di Gearbox Software. Dopo aver esibito al South by Southwest music festival del 2007, hanno firmato con EMI Records e si sono trasferiti a Londra, Inghilterra. Il loro album d'esordio omonimo è stato pubblicato il 23 giugno 2008 e ha ricevuto recensioni generalmente positive. Cage the Elephant ha fatto da supporto in tour con The Pigeon Detectives all'inizio del 2008 e con Silversun Pickups e Manchester Orchestra nel 2009. Nel 2007 hanno esordito al Lollapalooza di Chicago, tornando al festival nel 2009 e partecipando anche all'Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival di San Francisco il 30 agosto 2009. Prima del loro ritorno al Lollapalooza, la band ha suonato due volte al Bonnaroo Music Festival, rispettivamente a giugno 2007 e 2009. Avec 7 albums à leur actif, le groupe est une source d'inspiration et de créativité au niveau mondial, au cours de ces 20 années il n'a cessé d'influencer le paysage musical et de créer des tendances.

Il sont 7, ils ont presque tous la vingtaine, ils aiment le post-rock et aussi expérimenter différents sons. Plus qu'un groupe, Black Country est une communauté.
J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
