Anvil è una band canadese di heavy metal formata da Steve "Lips" Kudlow (voce solista, chitarra), Robb Reiner (batteria) e Glenn Five (basso, cori). Attiva dal 1978, la band ha pubblicato tredici album in studio. Anvil è considerata un'influenza fondamentale per molti gruppi heavy metal di spicco, tra cui Slayer, Anthrax e Metallica.
