Paul Banks è un cantautore e musicista statunitense di origini inglesi, noto soprattutto per essere il frontman del gruppo rock alternativo Interpol. Nato a Londra nel 1978, si trasferisce negli Stati Uniti durante l'infanzia. Banks inizia la sua carriera musicale come membro dei The Blackouts, prima di fondare Interpol nel 1997 con Daniel Kessler e Carlos Dengler. Il gruppo raggiunge rapidamente il successo internazionale con album come *Turn on the Bright Lights* (2002) e *Antics* (2004), caratterizzati da un sound darkwave influenzato dal post-punk degli anni '80. Oltre alla sua attività con Interpol, Banks ha intrapreso una carriera solista sotto lo pseudonimo di Julian Plenti, pubblicando l'album *Kid Galahad* nel 2009. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
