Johnny Marr, all'anagrafe John Martin Maher, è un chitarrista e cantautore britannico nato a Manchester nel 1963. È noto soprattutto per essere stato il chitarrista principale dei The Smiths durante gli anni '80, periodo in cui ha contribuito a definire l'indi-rock con riff melodici e arrangiamenti innovativi. Dopo lo scioglimento del gruppo, Marr ha collaborato con artisti come Talking Heads, Pet Shop Boys e Modest Mouse, oltre a intraprendere una carriera solista di successo. Tra i suoi album più apprezzati figurano "The Messenger" (2013) e "Call the Comet" (2018).
