Vybz Kartel, pseudonimo di Adidja Palmer, è un cantante e disc jockey giamaicano nato a Kingston nel 1976. Noto anche come Addi Di Teacha, World Boss e Gaza Emperor, è considerato uno dei più influenti artisti del dancehall contemporaneo. La sua musica, caratterizzata da testi spesso provocatori e ritmi incalzanti, ha contribuito a definire il suono del genere negli anni 2000. Tra i suoi brani più famosi figurano "Clarks", "Fever" e "Romping Shop". Kartel è stato anche coinvolto in controversie legali, condannato per omicidio nel 2014.
