The Calling sono un gruppo musicale statunitense formatosi a Los Angeles nel 2001 da Alex Band (voce) e Aaron Kamin (chitarra). I due si sono incontrati quando Kamin usciva con la sorella di Band. Dopo aver firmato un contratto con l'etichetta RCA, il duo ha ingaggiato altri musicisti: Sean Woolstenhulme (chitarra), Billy Mohler (basso) e Nate Wood (batteria) per registrare e pubblicare il loro album di debutto *Camino Palmero* nel 2001. Il singolo "Wherever You Will Go" è diventato il brano più famoso del gruppo, raggiungendo la Top Ten sia negli Stati Uniti che nel Regno Unito e comparendo in numerosi film, spot televisivi e programmi TV. Il secondo album del gruppo, *Two*, pubblicato nel 2004 senza Woolstenhulme, Wood e Mohler, non ha avuto lo stesso successo di *Camino Palmero*. Attualmente il gruppo è in pausa, con Alex Band che si dedica a un progetto solista.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
