Spoon est un groupe de rock indépendant originaire d'Austin, au Texas. Actif depuis 1993, le groupe a gagné en reconnaissance pour son son distinctif dans le paysage musical indie. Bien que leurs premiers albums ressemblent aux Pixies, Spoon a su évoluer et définir une sonorité unique. Le groupe est connu pour sa cohérence de qualité, comme en témoignent les critiques positives recueillies sur Metacritic : chaque un de leurs quatre derniers albums a obtenu des scores entre 84 et 88 sur 100. Parmi les morceaux les plus représentatifs de Spoon figurent "The Underdog", "I Turn My Camera On" et "Don't You Evah". Les albums notables incluent *Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga* (2005) et *Transference* (2010).
