Imany, pseudonimo di Nadia Mladjao (Martigues, 5 aprile 1979), è una cantautrice francese. Il suo nome d'arte, Imani, significa «fede» o «speranza» in Swahili. Prima di dedicarsi alla musica, Imany ha praticato l'atletica leggera come saltatrice in alto e ha lavorato come modella per la Ford Models Europe. Dopo sei anni negli Stati Uniti, è tornata in Francia dove ha avviato la sua carriera musicale. Attualmente vive tra gli Stati Uniti e la Francia. Il suo stile musicale è un mix di soul, jazz e world music, con influenze afro-cubane. Imany è nota per le sue melodie evocative e il suo timbro vocale ricco e potente. Tra i suoi brani più rappresentativi figurano «Don't Be So Shy», «You Will Never Know» e «The Good Life». Il suo album di debutto, *The Shape of Love*, pubblicato nel 2014, ha riscosso un grande successo internazionale.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
