Devendra Banhart est un auteur-compositeur et musicien américain d'origine vénézuélienne. Né à Caracas en 1981, il s'installe aux États-Unis à l'âge de sept ans. Sa musique se caractérise par une fusion éclectique de folk, psychédélique, indie rock et influences latines. Banhart est connu pour ses mélodies complexes, ses paroles poétiques et un son acoustique souvent accompagné d'instruments traditionnels sud-américains.
