Billy Bauer (1915-2007) è stato un chitarrista jazz statunitense, noto per il suo stile elegante e raffinato. Nato a New York, Bauer ha iniziato la sua carriera negli anni '30 suonando in locali di musica dal vivo della città. Nel corso degli anni '40 e '50, ha collaborato con alcuni dei più grandi nomi del jazz, tra cui Benny Goodman, Billie Holiday e Charlie Parker.
