Mat Kearney (né Mathew William Kearney) est un auteur-compositeur et musicien américain. Né à Colorado Springs, dans le Colorado, en 1978, il a commencé sa carrière musicale en jouant dans des bars de Denver avant de déménager à Nashville en 2003. Son style musical se caractérise par une fusion de folk, pop et rock alternatif, avec des paroles introspectives qui explorent des thèmes comme l'amour, la perte et la spiritualité. Kearney a sorti huit albums studio, dont son premier "The Way Home" (2004), "Nothing and Everything" (2006) et "Young Love" (2010). Parmi ses chansons les plus connues figurent "Closer to Love", "Ships in the Night" et "Heartbeat". Il a collaboré avec des artistes comme Colbie Caillat et Sara Bareilles.
