Nitin Sawhney est un musicien, producteur de disques et compositeur britannique d'origine indienne, né à Londres en 1965. Considéré comme l'un des pionniers de la musique fusion électronique, Sawhney fusionne des éléments traditionnels de l'Inde avec des sonorités jazz, ambient et world music. Sa musique se caractérise par une approche expérimentale et innovante, explorant de nouvelles technologies musicales et des instruments inhabituels. Au cours de sa carrière, Sawhney a collaboré avec des artistes internationaux renommés tels que Björk, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan et Massive Attack. Il a composé des bandes originales pour des films et des spectacles théâtraux, notamment "The Buddha of Suburbia" de Hanif Kureishi et "East is East". Parmi ses albums les plus importants figurent "Beyond Skin" (1998), "India" (2003) et "Immigrant" (2010).
