Battlelore è una band metal finlandese proveniente da Lappeenranta. Fondata nel 1999, il gruppo si distingue per la sua musica epica e sinfonica che trae ispirazione dal mondo fantasy di J.R.R. Tolkien, in particolare dalla Terra di Mezzo. Le loro canzoni sono caratterizzate da melodie elaborate, cori potenti e testi narrativi che evocano atmosfere epiche e mitologiche. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si annoverano "The Shadow of the Forest", "Where Eagles Dare" e "The Last Stand". Battlelore ha pubblicato sette album in studio, tra cui l'acclamato "War of the North" (2006) e "Doombound" (2010). La band è considerata una delle più influenti nel genere folk metal epico.
