Slaughterhouse était un groupe de hip-hop américain formé en 2008. Le groupe était composé de quatre rappeurs : Joe Budden, Crooked I, Royce da 5'9" et Joell Ortiz. Connues pour leurs performances live intenses et leurs paroles agressives et réalistes, Slaughterhouse a acquis une base de fans dévouée dans la scène hip-hop underground. Ils ont sorti trois albums studio : "Slaughterhouse" (2012), "Welcome to: Our House" (2013) et "The Killshot" (2016). Le groupe s'est séparé en 2018, mais ses membres poursuivent des carrières solo réussies. Parmi leurs morceaux les plus représentatifs figurent "Hammer Dance", "My Life" et "Runaway".

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
