Bowling for Soup è una band pop-punk proveniente da Wichita Falls, Texas, formatasi nel 1994. Il nome della band deriva dalla routine comica del 1978 di Steve Martin "Bowling for Shit", che suggerisce le tematiche spesso ironiche e divertenti dei loro testi. Il gruppo è composto da Jaret Reddick (voce, chitarra), Erik Chandler (basso, voce), Chris Burney (chitarra, voce) e Gary Wiseman (batteria, voce). Nel 1998 hanno pubblicato il loro album di debutto, *Rock On Honorable Ones!!*, con l'etichetta indipendente FFROE. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
