Pusha T, de son vrai nom Terrence Thornton, est un rappeur américain né en Virginie en 1977. Connu pour son flow agressif et ses rimes complexes, Pusha T a commencé sa carrière musicale en tant que membre du duo Clipse aux côtés de son frère Malice. Le groupe a sorti trois albums entre 2002 et 2009, gagnant une base de fans grâce à des productions innovantes et des paroles qui exploraient les thèmes de la vie dans la rue et du succès. En 2010, Pusha T s'est lancé en solo, publiant quatre albums : *My Name Is My Name* (2013), *King Push - Darkest Before Dawn* (2015), *Daytona* (2018) et *It's Almost Dry* (2022). Ses albums se caractérisent par des productions de haut niveau, souvent orchestrées par Kanye West, et des paroles qui reflètent son expérience personnelle et son point de vue sur la société. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
