Fountains of Wayne sono una rock band americana formatasi nel 1995 a New York. Il gruppo, composto da Adam Schlesinger (voce, chitarra), Chris Collingwood (chitarra, voce), Jody Porter (basso) e Brian Young (batteria), è noto per il suo sound pop-rock orecchiabile e le liriche spesso ironiche e autoironiche. Il loro successo più grande è stato "Stacey's Mom", singolo del 2003 che ha raggiunto la posizione numero 1 nelle classifiche alternative statunitensi e ha contribuito a far conoscere al pubblico internazionale il gruppo. Tra gli altri brani rappresentativi ricordiamo "Red Tide" (dal loro album di debutto "Ugly Radio") e "Hackensack" (dall'album "Welcome Interstate Managers"). Fountains of Wayne hanno pubblicato sei album in studio, ottenendo un discreto successo commerciale e una solida base di fan. Adam Schlesinger, oltre a essere il frontman del gruppo, ha anche lavorato come compositore per film e televisione, vincendo un Emmy Award nel 2018 per la colonna sonora della serie "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend". Schlesinger è morto nel 2020 a causa di complicazioni dovute al COVID-19.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
