G-Unit, Infamous Mobb Deep [Prodigy making gun noises]
Mobb Deep était un duo de hip-hop américain formé par les rappeurs Havoc (Jason Irvine) et Prodigy (Albert Johnson). Actifs de 1990 jusqu'à la mort de Prodigy en 2017, ils sont considérés comme des piliers de l'âge d'or du hip-hop de la côte Est. Leur style musical est caractérisé par des paroles crudes et réalistes sur la vie dans les rues de Queensbridge, New York, et des productions sombres et atmosphériques. Leur album de début *Juvenile Hell* (1993) a présenté au monde leur son distinctif. Cependant, c'est leur deuxième album, *The Infamous* (1995), qui les a consacrés comme des icônes du genre. Avec des morceaux comme «Shook Ones (Part II)» et «Survival of the Fittest», Mobb Deep a défini l'esthétique sonore du hip-hop de la côte Est dans les années 1990. Après *The Infamous*, le duo a continué à sortir des albums à succès, notamment *Hell on Earth* (1996) et *Murda Muzik* (2000). Prodigy a également entrepris une carrière solo, lançant plusieurs albums. La mort prématurée de Prodigy en 2017 a marqué la fin de Mobb Deep, laissant un vide dans le paysage du hip-hop.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
