Belle and Sebastian est un groupe britannique de pop indépendant formé à Glasgow en 1996. Le noyau du groupe est composé de Stuart Murdoch (chant, guitare) et Isobel Campbell (violoncelle, chant). Leur son se caractérise par des mélodies accrocheuses, des paroles poétiques et des arrangements orchestrales qui évoquent une atmosphère nostalgique et mélancolique. Belle and Sebastian ont sorti dix albums studio, dont leur premier album "If You're Feeling Sinister" (1996), considéré comme un classique du pop indépendant.
